Size Guide
Every CloudFloor mat comes in the same five footprints, in both 3 cm and 5 cm. Measure the clear floor space where the mat will live, then choose the size that fits with a little room to spare.
Mat Sizes
Dimensions are the finished mat. Both thicknesses are available in every size.

Thickness & Safety
CloudFloor mats are made for babies 0–24 months on hard flooring. Here is what they're made of, how they're certified, and how to choose between the two thicknesses.
One continuous piece
Not interlocking tiles. There are no seams for crumbs, dust or damp to collect in, and nothing that can work loose while a baby crawls over it.
Fully waterproof
The velvet-touch cover is sealed. Milk, water and worse bead on the surface and wipe away with a damp cloth — nothing soaks through to your floor.
Non-slip base
A textured base grips smooth flooring — parquet, tile, laminate, vinyl — so the mat stays where you put it rather than sliding away mid-crawl.
Certified & tested
Certified according to compliance and CE-marked, and tested to the EN 71 toy-safety standard. Both the 3 cm and the 5 cm carry the same certification.
Low-odour foam
The high-density foam core is formaldehyde-free and low-odour. Any faint new-product smell airs out within a day — unroll it in a ventilated room before first use.
Warm underfoot
The foam core insulates against cold hard floors, so tummy time on tile or stone in winter is comfortable rather than a shock.
Choosing 3 cm or 5 cm
Choose 5 cm if…
- Your floors are tile, stone or concrete-hard
- Baby is at the wobbly stage of learning to sit
- You want the most cushioned surface, full stop
- The mat will mostly stay in one place
Choose 3 cm if…
- You'll move it between rooms often
- Storage space is tight and it needs to roll up small
- You prefer a lower step up from the surrounding floor
- You want the lightest option to lift one-handed

Certified according to compliance & CE-marked.
Both thicknesses are tested to the EN 71 toy-safety standard and re-tested on a regular schedule. The foam is formaldehyde-free and low-odour — air the mat for a few hours before first use.
Delivery
We offer free shipping to all of the UK on every order. Due to exceptionally high demand for our mats, our current delivery time is 4–8 business days.
The process
- Handling. Your order is prepared and packed at our warehouse within 1–3 business days.
- Shipping. We ship your parcel with a tracked courier. As soon as your order has shipped, you'll receive a tracking number so you can follow your parcel all the way.

Returns & Refunds

Change of mind
Our 30-day policy covers you if you've simply changed your mind — that's more than the 14 days (plus a further 14 days to send the item back) you're entitled to as a minimum under the UK's cancellation rules for online purchases (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).
The mat should ideally be returned in its original packaging along with your receipt/proof of purchase — if it isn't, we may deduct an amount corresponding to any reduction in value. You are responsible for the return shipping cost for change-of-mind returns.
Once we've received and approved the return, we'll refund the full amount (including the shipping cost you originally paid) to your original payment method, no later than 14 days after we receive the item back.
Faults, damage, or the wrong item (statutory claim)
Please inspect your order upon receipt. If the mat is faulty, damaged, or you've received the wrong item, contact us immediately. In this case, we cover the return shipping cost, and nothing is deducted from your refund.
This follows your statutory rights under the UK's Consumer Rights Act 2015: a full refund within the first 30 days for a faulty item, followed by repair or replacement for up to 6 months. These rights always apply, regardless of anything else stated in this return policy.

Refunds are processed no later than 14 days after we've received and inspected your return.
Frequently asked questions
Which thickness should I choose — 3 cm or 5 cm?
If your floors are very hard (tile, stone, concrete) or your baby is at the wobbly sitting stage, choose 5 cm for the most cushioning. If you'll move the mat between rooms a lot or storage is tight, choose 3 cm — it's lighter and rolls up smaller. Both have the same cover, foam type, non-slip base and safety certification.
Is it actually safe for a newborn?
Yes. The mat is designed for babies from 0–24 months, is certified according to compliance and CE-marked, and is tested to the EN 71 toy-safety standard. The foam is formaldehyde-free and low-odour. As with any surface, a baby should always be supervised during tummy time.
Does it slip on laminate or wood floors?
No. The underside has a textured non-slip base designed for smooth hard flooring. In our testing it stays put on parquet, laminate, vinyl and tile even while a baby is crawling and pushing off it.
Can my baby nap on it?
The mat is made for supervised floor play, not as a sleep surface. For safe sleep, follow the usual guidance and use a firm, flat cot mattress. It's fine for a supervised daytime doze during play.
How do I clean it? What about spills?
For everyday cleaning, wipe the cover with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. The cover unzips and is machine-washable at 30 °C — do not tumble dry. Because the cover is fully waterproof, spills sit on the surface and wipe straight off; nothing reaches the foam or your floor.
Does it smell of chemicals when it arrives?
There may be a faint new-product scent when you first unroll it, which is normal for foam. It airs out within a day. Unroll the mat in a well-ventilated room and leave it a few hours before use.
Why one piece instead of interlocking foam tiles?
Tiles have seams. Seams collect crumbs, dust and moisture, and the tiles themselves work loose over time — especially once a baby is crawling. A single continuous piece has none of that: it wipes clean edge to edge and there's nothing to come apart.
How long will delivery take?
Free UK delivery on every order. Because demand for our mats is currently very high, our delivery time is 4–8 business days: 1–3 business days to prepare and pack your order, then tracked-courier shipping. You'll get a tracking number as soon as it ships.
What is your returns policy?
You have 30 days to return a mat if you've changed your mind (you pay return postage; we refund in full, including original shipping, within 14 days of receiving it back). If a mat is faulty, damaged or wrong, we cover the return postage and refund in full — your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 always apply.
Do you offer a discount for first orders?
Yes — new customers get 10% off their first order with the code WELCOME10 at checkout. It can be used once per customer and applies to all mats, including sale items.
